Protect E-MTB is a family run business based in southern England. Owner Mike and Wife Christine are avid e-bikers. Mike is basically a two wheel freak having had mountain bikes and motorbikes all his life. He turned to his new addiction e-bikes 4 years ago, what he lacks in talent he makes up in enthusiasm and can often be found in the Surrey Hills or Rogate Bike Park.

After smashing 2 motor housings on his Kenevo and one on his Cube Stereo he tried various guards, unsatisfied with the weight and fit he decided to use his knowledge of design and materials to design a lightweight guard that not only protects but looks good too.

Both Mike and Christine total over 50 years experience in commercial aircraft engineering /maintenance and the manufacturing of aircraft tooling. Their knowledge gained in the aviation industry mean Protect E-MTB only use the highest quality aviation materials in the manufacturing process . This is backed up by our modern manufacturing facility here in the UK which includes CAD design software, CNC machines and TruPunch 1000 machine.     

Having started e-biking with one friend 4 years ago we now have a local group of over 30 fellow e-bikers that ride on a regular basis and travel throughout the UK and Europe in pursuit of fun and adrenaline, this would not have happened without e-bikes. Whilst a number of us have ridden MTB’s and motorbikes before, most hadn’t ridden a bike for years. In every single case riding an e-bike has changed their lives and encouraged mental wellbeing. They are exploring parts of the countryside they would never have seen, getting fitter and have a more varied social life with people from all walks of life. E-bikes really are game changers.
