Our guards are designed to protect your motor housing from damage by roots and rocks . We only use the highest quality aviation alloys due to its high strength-to-weight ratio, the guard only weighs 126 grams. Being a more flexible material means our manufacturing team can mould for a perfect fit and alloy offers excellent impact resistance. Front and rear vent slots match the OEM’s plastic motor cover so not to effect airflow of drainage. We have also added a number of internal impact pads between the guard and motor cover for even more protection. We provide extra long bolts for attaching the front of the guard. The rear is held on with 1 or 2 cable ties depending on how hard you shred and fitted to the rear curve so will not get damaged, the cable tie lock head tucks nicely into one of the rear vents so not seen.
Note to buyer, we will get asked why we haven’t used the side screws on the motor cover as a fixing point.
1/ advised against this due to any warranty issues
2/ side screws are only 4m and have no strength.
3/ although bikes tested were 2023/24 models some were out by 1 or 2 mil , we are not sure if this was because not all frames were exact or motor position. If out by 1 mil the guard would not fit all bikes using the side fixings.
